We are delighted to announce that Hugh Sloane, the
co-founder of London-based Sloane Robinson Investment
Management and a pioneer of Asian equity and hedge fund
investing, will be delivering a keynote address at this year's
annual AsiaHedge Forum.
The AsiaHedge Forum 2014, HedgeFund Intelligence's flagship
Asian event, will be held on Thursday 24 April at the JW
Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong – under the overall
theme this year of 'Understanding Asian Alpha'.
Sloane, a keen follower of fundamentals-based investing,
will share his journey in Asian investing since the early days
of the region's hedge fund industry some 20 years ago. He will
also share his thoughts on why he continues to be bullish on
Japan and China, and how to best play key Asia themes.
The AsiaHedge Forum is attracting significant attention this
year, given the resurgence of investor interest in Asia. In
addition, the winds of change blowing through key Asian
markets, such as China, Japan and India, are leading to
unprecedented investment opportunities in the
region – all of which makes the Forum and its
discussions especially timely.
This year, the focus will be on exploring the changing
macro-economic environment globally and its implications for
Asia, as well as on the hedge fund strategies that can
capitalise on the emerging pockets of opportunity across the
region to deliver true alpha.
With Asia now sporting a home-grown set of highly-credible
billion dollar hedge fund shops, the Forum will also look at
successful business-building strategies that will help to make
Asian managers into world-class institutional-standard
Known for the quality of its content, speakers and
networking opportunities, the AsiaHedge Forum attracts
high-class participants and delegates from all over the
world – comprising top Asian hedge fund managers
(from within and outside Asia), leading global investors and
some of the best brains in the macro-economic, policy-making,
thought leadership and hedge fund consulting spheres.
Further details on speakers and the programme for this
year's AsiaHedge Forum will be announced over the coming
