February 29, 2012   Anastasia Donde

This year the New York Committee of Hearts will present the Hedge Funds Care Founder's Award to former Yankees Manager Joe Torre for the achievements of the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, which is dedicated to "educating to end the cycle of domestic violence and save lives." Torre has previously spoken about his own experience growing up in a violent home.

Hedge Funds Care will hold its 14th Annual Open Your Hearts to the Children Benefit this Thursday at Cipriani on 42nd Street from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Jay Peller, managing director of Citco Fund Services, and Joe Fisher, a partner at Deloitte, will co-chair the event, which raises funds deployed for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

Guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, while having the chance to participate in a silent auction and a raffle. This year's raffle prizes include a three night stay at The One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas and a three-night stay at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Individual tickets to the event are $2000. Attendees can also buy 10 tickets for $18,500, 15 tickets for $25,000 and 30 tickets for $50,000. Business formal attire is required.
