Bill Ackman of Pershing Square Capital Management, Omar Saeed of Eton Park Capital Management and Steve Kuhn of Pine River Capital Management were among the hedge funders who played their hands at a charity poker tournament held on July 25 in Manhattan to benefit REACH: Rewarding Achievement, an “innovative pay-for-performance program that aims to improve the college readiness of highly motivated, hard-working low-income students,” according to its website. Whitney Tilson of T2 Partners is a co-founder of the nonprofit.

Stephen Susano of Steben & Co. won the tournament—and entry to the 2012 World Series of Poker.
